This series of self-portraits uses the artist’s own image as a point of departure for transformation. Photographs are digitally overpainted; skin opens, limbs branch out, new body parts grow from the body and become autonomous beings. What appears familiar begins to proliferate, becoming monstrous and at once vulnerable. The inside is turned outside, not only physically but also by exposing the private domestic space to the viewer. Between naturalism and hybridity, organic and digital intervention, the work explores self-representation and intimacy in an age of permanent visibility, raising questions of authorship, voyeurism and bodily control. The monstrous appears not as a threat but as an act of resistance, a radical self-appropriation outside normative structures.
Born 1998 in Zurich. She describes her multimedia practice as “experimental (em)bodyfication”, an investigational and emotional exploration of the human body that is presented, dissected, modified and transformed to explore the construct of “human” in the sociocultural context.

Und dann betrachtest du mich wie ich da liege, oder betrachte ich dich wie du da stehst?
